Domain Manager

Overview

As an organization owner, you can manage your domain settings, view the default domain provided by Dalfin, monitor usage information for different providers like Digital Ocean, AWS, and GoDaddy, and set up custom domains. This section provides guidance on viewing domain details, adding custom domains, and handling domain verification.

Viewing Default and Usage Information

When logged in as an organization owner and on the Domain Manager page:

  1. You will see the default domain assigned by Dalfin.
  2. Usage information for integrated domain providers such as Digital Ocean, AWS, and GoDaddy will be displayed.
  3. The option to add a custom domain will be available.

Adding a Custom Domain

To add a custom domain:

  1. Log in as an organization owner and navigate to the Domain Manager page.
  2. Click on the "Add Custom Domain" button.
  3. Enter the domain you want to add.
  4. After submission, the domain will enter a Pending Verification status.
  5. Two CNAME records (with hostname and value) will be provided. Use these records to map your domain in your domain provider's settings.
  6. Verification of the domain can take up to 30 minutes once correctly mapped.
⚠️

Note: The custom domain feature requires a subscription of $5 per domain per month to activate.

Verification Status and Setting Domain as Default

To finalize the custom domain setup and set it as default:

  1. Return to the Domain Manager page after mapping the provided CNAME records.
  2. Check the verification status of the domain. Once verified, the status will update automatically.
  3. Once verification is complete:
    • You can set the custom domain as your default domain.
    • You can access your system directly through this custom domain.
    • The domain will be active and used for features such as sending emails with your chosen domain name.

Handling Verification Issues

If verification is unsuccessful:

  1. Confirm the CNAME records were entered correctly in your domain provider’s settings.
  2. Allow up to 30 minutes after setting the records for the verification to process.
  3. If issues persist, revisit the Domain Manager page and re-check the CNAME records.
  4. Contact support for assistance if verification still fails.
