System Preference - System Info

Overview

As a user with system configuration privileges, you can view and update the system name and system logo to customize the system's identity.

Updating System Name

To update the system name:

1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the System Info page under System Preferences.
2. Enter a new system name.
3. Click the "Save" button.
4. The system name will be updated.
5. A confirmation message will indicate the system name has been updated.

Updating System Logo

To update the system logo:

1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the System Info page under System Preferences.
2. Upload a new system logo in PNG format, with an upload size of 2 MB or less.
3. Click the "Save" button.
4. The system logo will be updated.
5. A confirmation message will indicate the system logo has been updated.

Uploading Invalid Logo Format

To handle an invalid logo format:

1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the System Info page under System Preferences.
2. Upload a new system logo that is not in PNG format.
3. Click the "Save" button.
4. An error message will indicate the logo must be in PNG format.
5. The system logo will not be updated.

Uploading Logo Exceeding Size Limit

To handle a logo exceeding the size limit:

1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the System Info page under System Preferences.
2. Upload a new system logo that exceeds 2 MB.
3. Click the "Save" button.
4. An error message will indicate the upload size limit is 2 MB.
5. The system logo will not be updated.

Canceling Updates

To cancel updates:

1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the System Info page under System Preferences.
2. Make changes to the system name or logo.
3. Click the "Cancel" button.
4. The changes will not be saved.
5. You will be redirected back to the System Info page without changes.

Viewing Updated System Info

To view updated system info after making changes:

1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges.
2. Update the system name and logo.
3. Return to the System Info page under System Preferences.
4. You will see the updated system name.
5. You will see the updated system logo.
