Themes and Styles

Overview

As a user with system configuration privileges, you can manage themes and styles for the system to customize its look and feel. This includes viewing available themes, creating custom themes, and making changes to the active theme.

Viewing All Themes

When logged in as a user with system configuration privileges and on the Themes and Styles page:

  • You will see a list of all available themes.

Marking a Theme as Active

To mark a theme as active:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Select a theme from the list.
  3. Mark the theme as active.
  4. The selected theme will immediately take effect.
  5. A confirmation message will indicate the theme has been activated.

Creating a Custom Theme

To create a custom theme:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and navigate to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Click the "Create Custom Theme" button.
  3. Enter a theme title.
  4. Select options for:
    • Primary color
    • Primary contrast
    • Text color
    • Topbar color
    • Sidebar color
    • Content (solid and gradient)
    • Font family
    • Message and alert colors
    • Buttons background and text color
  5. You will see a live preview of the theme as you make changes.
  6. Click the "Save Theme" button.
  7. The custom theme will be saved and added to the list of themes.
  8. A confirmation message will indicate the theme has been saved.

Reverting to Default Theme

To revert to the default theme:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Click the "Revert to Default" button.
  3. The system will revert to the default theme.
  4. A confirmation message will indicate the theme has been reverted to default.

Randomizing Theme

To randomize the theme:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and navigate to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Click the "Randomize Theme" button.
  3. The system will apply a random theme.
  4. You will see a live preview of the randomized theme.
  5. Click the "Save Theme" button.
  6. The randomized theme will be saved and added to the list of themes.
  7. A confirmation message will indicate the theme has been saved.

Previewing Theme Changes

To preview theme changes in real-time:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Make changes to a theme (e.g., colors, font).
  3. You will see a live preview of the changes in real-time.

Canceling Theme Changes

To cancel theme changes:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and navigate to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Make changes to a theme.
  3. Click the "Cancel" button.
  4. The changes will not be saved.
  5. The theme will remain unchanged.
  6. You will be redirected back to the Themes and Styles page.

Editing an Existing Custom Theme

To edit an existing custom theme:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Select the custom theme from the list.
  3. Click the "Edit" button.
  4. Make changes to the theme.
  5. Click the "Save Theme" button.
  6. The changes will be saved and the updated theme will be reflected in the list of themes.
  7. A confirmation message will indicate the theme has been updated.

Deleting an Existing Custom Theme

To delete an existing custom theme:

  1. Log in as a user with system configuration privileges and go to the Themes and Styles page.
  2. Select the custom theme from the list.
  3. Click the "Delete" button.
  4. A confirmation prompt will ask if you are sure you want to delete the theme.
  5. Confirm the deletion.
  6. The custom theme will be removed from the list of themes.
  7. A confirmation message will indicate the theme has been deleted.
