System Users

User Management - System User

Overview

As a system administrator, you can manage system users, including their details and permissions.

Background

Given you are logged in as a system administrator and on the System User Management page under User Management.

Viewing List of System Users

To view the list of system users:

  • You should see a list of all existing system users.
  • Each user will display their full name, email ID, user role, user department, and country (if provided).

Adding a New System User

To add a new system user:

  1. Click the "Add User" button.
  2. Enter the following user details:
    Full NameEmail IDUser RoleUser DepartmentCountryAllow Users To Set Their Own Password
    John Doejohn.doe@example.comAdministratorIT DepartmentUSAfalse
  3. Click the "Save" button.
  4. The new user will be created.
  5. A confirmation message will indicate the user has been added.
  6. An email with instructions to set the password will be sent to the user.

Editing an Existing System User

To edit an existing system user:

  1. Select a user from the list.
  2. Click the "Edit" button.
  3. Update the user details:
    Full NameUser RoleUser Department
    Jane SmithManagerMarketing
  4. Click the "Save" button.
  5. The user details will be updated.
  6. A confirmation message will indicate the changes have been saved.

Deleting a System User

To delete a system user:

  1. Select a user from the list.
  2. Click the "Delete" button.
  3. A confirmation prompt will ask if you want to delete the user.
  4. Confirm the deletion.
  5. The user will be removed from the list.
  6. A confirmation message will indicate the user has been deleted.

Viewing Details of a System User

To view details of a system user:

  1. Select a user from the list.
  2. You will see the full details of the selected user, including their full name, email ID, user role, user department, and country (if provided).

Sending Password Setup Link

To send a password setup link to a user:

  1. Select a user from the list.
  2. Click the "Send Password Setup Link" button.
  3. An email with a link to set the password will be sent to the user.
  4. A confirmation message will indicate that the link has been sent.

Searching for a System User by Email ID

To search for a system user by email ID:

  1. Enter an email ID in the search bar.
  2. A list of users that match the email ID will be displayed.

Canceling Adding a New System User

To cancel adding a new system user:

  1. Click the "Add User" button.
  2. Enter user details.
  3. Click the "Cancel" button.
  4. The user will not be created.
  5. You will be redirected back to the System User Management page without changes.

Canceling Editing a System User

To cancel editing a system user:

  1. Select a user from the list.
  2. Click the "Edit" button.
  3. Make changes to the user details.
  4. Click the "Cancel" button.
  5. The changes will not be saved.
  6. The user details will remain unchanged.
