Create a New Package

Overview

In the Business Intelligence, you can create packages that include selected windows and fields. This guide will walk you through the steps to create a new package.

Step-by-Step Guide

Access the Create Package Section

  • Ensure you are logged in as an authenticated user with access to the Business Intelligence.
  • Navigate to the "Create Package" section.

View Available Windows and Input Fields

  • On the left side of the "Create Package" section, you will see a list of all available windows.

Select a Window

  • Click on a window from the list of available windows.
  • The selected window will be added to the "Selected Tables" section.
  • A list of fields from the selected window will be displayed.

Select Fields from the Window

  • Choose the fields you want to include from the selected window.
  • The selected fields will be marked for inclusion in the package.

Select Fields Inside Foreign Keys

  • View the fields inside the foreign keys.
  • Select the desired fields from the foreign key tables.

Join Windows

In Case of joining the another window with the current window

  1. Click the "Join" button for the selected window.
  2. You will be prompted to select a window to join with the current window.
  3. After selecting a window to join:
    • The fields of the joined table will be displayed.
    • Green color will indicate which fields are connected between the two tables.
    • You can select fields from the joined table.

Enter Package Details

  • Enter the "Package Name".
  • Enter the "Description".
  • Click on the "Create Package" button to process the package creation.

Package Creation Outcome

  • Successful Creation:

You will be redirected to the "List of Packages" section.

  • Failed Creation:

A validation error message will be displayed.
